Monday September 10, 2012

Hola Familia!!!! Well this week was good and amazing up until Saturday. Saturday and Sunday were filled with alot of walking and little teaching. we had lessons planned every half hour but almost every one fell through. but the work will go on it has to go on. the 5th of September was a special day for me and my mission. we bought a cake and some balloons and surprised maria for her birthday. it made me think of so many things i thought about all of you and our famous birthday choir. i thought of all the birthdays i have missed but i know there will be many more. as maria gave her speech she broke my heart as she said "this is the first birthday i will spend smiling and not crying." she turned 32 years old and in her 32 years this was the first cake she had ever received for her birthday. i am glad i could be a part of it.
LESSON: Never take for granted the small things.
